Testimonies
Our Youth share how they came to accept Jesus into their lives and the role that He plays in their lives. As well as what youth group means to them.

I was brought up in a Christian family and went to church every Sunday and also went along to GFS on Mondays. I had always considered myself a Christian as I thought I was always doing the right thing to follow Jesus. Until the transition from year 6 to year 7, where I seemed to come up with lots of questions challenging if God and the bible are true. As I was at E3, I remember asking my leader all these questions and getting answers back but they were too confusing to understand at the start. I started to understand a bit more, but was constantly questioning my faith and if God was real. I continued attending E3 through the terms but the main turning point was E3 camp 2011. I remember going to camp as it being my first E3 camp, listening to all the talks every day, having discussion groups and listening to other leaders testimonies. During this camp I still asked questions but I seemed to understand everything more and realized that God is real and that we should follow Jesus. I believe this helped me to get my life back on track with God. From then on I have tried to commit everything I have done to be more like Jesus and to show that I am a Christian in the actions I do, so that more people can come to know Jesus. This is why I find that E3 is a great way to grow your faith, learn more about God and how you can share with others about your faith. It is also an opportunity to invite friends to come along so they can also learn about God.
